The Johnson company was one of the better American mapmakers of the 19th century, and were known for keeping current with all the changes that were occurring. This is a fine example of their work with bold original hand color. This map covers all of northern Germany from Holstein and the Baltic, south to Hessen Cassel. Insets show the cities of Hamburg and Bremen. Condition is very good. Image size is 12. 5 x 15. 5 (inches).
