Used for storing documents, money and other precious items it is made of solid Kiri wood (paulownia) front and case. Kodansu chest were a special piece used to store one's most valued items. Three drawers can be accessed behind the hinged door. Three other drawers are secured behind a "bo" stick that latches but no longer locks. Height = 18" Width = 23 Depth = 12" This chest
