(Oklahoma) Plat of Cherokee Lands, Ind:Ter:... Lazio A beautiful promotional Birdseye of(Oklahoma) Plat Of Cherokee Lands, Ind: Ter: Surveyed under instructions from Isaac McCoy. J. C. McCoy. Surveyor Sept. 20th 1837. The map shows the lands assigned to the Cherokee in what was later Oklahoma and Kansas. In Kansas this consisted of the 800,000 acres in the southeast corner. In Oklahoma it is all the land north of the Arkansas and west on a surveyed line to the eastern edge of what became the Texas panhandle. Within this region each of
