Antique Japanese c 1920 2 Tiered Lidded Lacquer Kasane Jubako Bento Box w/Handle Sake Large quantities arrived in EuropeThis is an antique Japanese two level food box known as a jubako made of Japanese (cryptomeria) wood in the Taisho (c. 1920). Both levels nest together with a lid that fits on top. It is well made with all wooden pin construction and has its original multiple coats of Japanese lacquer finish. There is a natural lacquer on the outsides and inside of the box the carrying handle is attached to the bottom box. the lid has curved over the last century as
