The wire serves to restrain the vessel ring segment to the jaws of a wire myograph apparatus. Choose a wire diameter based on the inner diameter of the vessels you work with, keeping in mind that you need to pass two wires through the lumen of the microvessel. Select the smallest diameter wire that you can comfortably
