Toki Watercolour The intention behind my work"As a Korean, we have a word called 'Han', which translates to secret sorrow and spirit. The 'Fazs' portrait series features paintings of celebrities with 'Han' battling mental health issues, living or passed on, as a topographic study of the soul. I use monochromatic tones to create these portraits, with a strong play on prismatic shapes and angles using light and dark to create the human face."
