Chrysalline beads and late 19th centuryChrysalline is one of my dolls in the Metamorphosis doll couple. She is still drifting in the world of sleep, not quite ready to be reborn, yet the fragile butterfly wings safely strung around her neck are a promise of some kind of rebirth. She is crowned with an earthy crown made of wire and string and her belly is filled with sheep wool, creating a warm nest like feeling inside of her. Chryssaline is made of textiles and clay.
