Keon graduated from college to the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1960 61 and won the Calder memorial trophy for best rookie. In the ensuing years Keon earned the Lady Byng Trophy twice and the Conn Smythe Trophy for Most Valuable Playoff Player in 1967.
