Our friends at Mountain Culture Brewing Co. aged an imperial stout in ex whisky barrels, while we matured ours in ex bourbon barrels. Once both beers had developed their own character, the barrels were sent together and blended into a single expression. From there, we conditioned the blend on cinnamon, cacao nibs and vanilla beans, building layers of spice, dark chocolate, oak and soft vanilla
