All five drawers are beautifully hand carved with a Phoenix motif in Yumu Northern Chinese elm a high quality wood highly regarded in Chinese furniture making. The clear lacquer finish sets off the wood grain nicely. The custom made 3 4" thick crystal (not just glass!) top was hand etched by the nationally known Portland artist Christina Amri.
