Qinghai Red Lacquer Display Cabinet l180 Our warm elm version hasQinghai, circa 1880 This stunning cabinet, with an open shelf unit in the top section, is from Qinghai in western China and the bright red cinnabar lacquer and decorative paintings are typical of that region. Once used to hold books and to show favoured ornaments, it would be at home today as a large bookshelf or display unit. It is in a highly original condition, with the old colour, carving and paintings all intact. Often cabinets like this are cut
