Used traditionally for storing kimono and accessories. The Kiri wood face and Sugi wood case construction was used to better control the humidity level that the fabrics would be exposed to. This tansu chest is made with pegged tenon open mortise corner box joint construction. This chest has a beautifully natural wood finish. All drawers and doors move easily
