Antique Japanese c1920's Haribako Lacquered Red & Gold w/ Hidden Drawer 12.5" Table please see photosThis is an antique Taisho era (c. 1920's) Lacquered sewing box with an arrangement of five exterior drawers. The lidded top section is divided into two areas one covered with a lid and the other recessed with a place for a box based pin cushion a plus a secret drawer. This type of tansu chest was used to store valuables as well as equipment for the person of the house to do repairs on Kimono and bedding. This haribako has keyaki wood exteriors and
