One might think so when looking at the ring mocha cup, also called the airplane cup, a small cup by Marguerite Friedlaender Wildenhain from 1930. Trained at the state Bauhaus in Weimar, Friedlaender Wildenhain taught at the Burg Giebichenstein Art School in Halle. In 1930, she designed this cup with a saucer.
