Die Sorte wchst eher breitbuschig kompakt und hat sehr gesundes, blaugrnes Laub. Auch im Herbst ist 'Blue Sea' noch sehr ansprechend belaubt, weshalb sich die Sorte auch als kompakter Zierstrauch eignet. Die Pflanze wird 60 bis maximal 90 cm hoch.
