This movement is a precise analog quartz caliber with an integrated alarm function a successor to the earlier 7T32 movement. The 7T62 caliber was introduced by Seiko in 2003 as an evolution of the 7T32 . It was designed to offer greater reliability, easier servicing, and lower power consumption. The movement was intended for sporty
