Ideally facing south and steep, the Riesling vines here capture a maximum of sunlight. The soil, covered with coarse slate flakes, is shallow and water quickly flows downhill. Therefore, the vines must root deeply into the rock to give the small berried old vines their extract. Elegant, almost weightless with refreshing, cool minerality, the Stirn is a distinctive, great Saar wine with
