It was founded by Sylvain Pataille in 1999, with a single hectare of vines while he was still working as an oenologist in a laboratory in Beaune. In 2001, he decided to devote himself fully to his own vineyard and expand it, reaching today 17 hectares. All the vineyards, inside or just outside the Marsannay appellation, are certified organic .
