A well preserved Franco Prussian War commemorative photo album, constructed of a wooden binding with a black leather exterior liner, locking closed with dual functional bronze snap buttons, the cover bearing an oval bronze disc awaiting the application of a dedication or engraving, circumscribed by an embossed inscriptions of KRIEGS ALBUM 1870 & 1871 (WAR ALBUM 187 & 1871), above initials N. H., the interior
