Constructed of off white card stock with black ink, the obverse bearing a dedication to Maschinistenmaat L. Schaaf, a crewman aboard a U Boat who was killed in action on 27 July 1943 in an undisclosed location, topped by an Iron Cross situated within a laurel and oak leaf wreath, measuring 29 cm (w) x 34 cm (h), demonstrating minor discolouration and fatigue, a superb documented demonstrating the perils of wartime U
