The recipient is Franz Varga, a Kanonier (gunner) and Vorgeschobener Beobachter Funker (scout radio operator) in the Signal Echelon of Reserve Artillery Detachment 96. The document is dated to November 17, 1943 and signed in pencil, the signature is indecipherable. It is trilingual, in Croatian, German, and Italian. Varga is awarded the Bronze Bravery Medal for his actions on February 13,
