When Empress Maria Theresa of Austria established Europes first legally defined Crus in 1757, Disznoko was among them, a status it held until Soviet era bulldozers arrived in the 1950s to erase Tokajis centuries old status as Europes finest wine. After the collapse of the communist government in the 1990s, Hungarian winemakers returned to Tokaji to revive the regions
