Vintage 1860s French Copper Iron Handled Daubiere Hartland and five pans with coversThis mid 19th century hand forged copper kitchen workhorse is one of the finest and oldest tools in the French batterie de cuisine. Originally, when cooking over a hearth, the cook would fill this pot with meat and vegetables and nestle it among the embers to slow cook over time and meld the flavors into a delicious meat falling off the bone meal. When not in use for braising, we fill with ice for a conversation starting wine chiller.
