Prussia, Kingdom. A Warrior Merit Medal United Republic of It never contained a photo(Krieger Verdienstmedaille). Instituted 1835 by King Friedrich Wilhelm III. (1835 1918 issue). Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised and wreathed inscription of KRIEGER VERDIENST (WARRIOR MERIT), the reverse bearing the monogram of King Wilhelm I, unmarked, measuring 25. 03 mm in diameter, weighing 8. 1 grams, in extremely fine condition.
