Constructed of bronze with multi coloured enamels, the obverse consisting of a radiant white enameled Geneva Cross, inset with a depiction of a mother and child, surrounded by gilt letters RDH (Reichsfachschaft deutscher Hebammen) and a swastika, situated within a blue enameled ring bearing a gilt inscription of IM DIENST DER ZUKUNFT UNSERES VOLKES (IN THE SERVICE OF THE FUTURE OF OUR PEOPLE),
