Description
The palate has a slight savoury chalky confluence that comes together and then drives with great purpose through to a long finish
Periodic bâtonnage adds texture and density
The Brouilly is often a more brooding cuvée in the range—particularly in its early years—though 2022 is a finer and more aromatic example
and flavours had intensified
Alongside a cracking red from these marly limestone soils
Nicole Lamarche Rully 1er Cru Marrissou Blanc 2022 plantagenet The palate has a slightNgoce. Marrissou is the most northerly of Rullys Premier Cru vineyards. Lamarches source lies under the Montagne de Remenot, at 150 200 metres. The bedrock is Oxfordian limestone under brown clay and stony topsoil. This wine is one of three new whites from Nicole; a Ctes de Nuits and Meursault (Premier Cru Charmes!) have also joined the portfolio. It shouldn't be surprising that Lamarches talent easily transfers to Chardonnay given her delicate touch
