A four pointed silver star consisting of 48 individual rays, obverse centre in Gold, featuring a lion on a blue enameled field with white enameled surround bearing the motto JE MAINTIENDRAI (I SHALL MAINTAIN), the reverse has a vertical pinback and makers cartouche for M. J. Goudsmit, La Haye, Dutch silver hallmark ZII indicating from 1953 to present and silver fineness 0. 835,
