Using 25% whole-bunch the wine shows lovely raspberry lift with very fine and complex aromas
but you can’t go wrong to check the wine again after 10 years
The wine was then fermented in stainless steel using a selected yeast to heighten aroma and contribute citrus flavours
Chartogne-Taillet Les Couarres 2018 (Disg. April 2023) pinot nero yet there is plenty of60% Chardonnay and 40% Pinot Noir. This is one of Alexandres single vineyard Champagnes, sourced from Les Couarres in Merfy. Its a gently sloping, south facing site, rich in tuffeau and clay. Alexandre farms just under four hectares of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The wine is famed for its round texture framed by fresh acidity, as well as its ability to age.
