The card was sent by Werkmeister (artificer) Josef Gross at P. O. W. camp Brady, camp II compound 5, Texas. Seeing as most Texan P. O. W. camps were used for German prisoners taken in northern Africa, and that Camp Brady was established in 1943, it is possible that Gross had been a member of the German Afrika Korps.
