Boedecker Cellars Willamette Valley Pinot Noir Athena 2010 robertson all given a couple daysAthena's Pinot Noir is always the denser, more structured of Boedecker's pair. She uses primarily a mix of Dijon clones for their intensity and long grained tannin structure. The nose starts with black cherry pie, blackberries, toffee, burnt orange peel, oregano, and crispy pork belly. The palate is full bodied, blackberries and cherries all over, with a smoky soil note and a bit of blood orange and toffee opening on the finish. Acidity is pleasant
