(1938 1944 issue). Constructed of gilded magnetic metal with enamel, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath surrounding a black enameled disc, overlaid by a Tyr rune bearing a central mobile swastika, within a circular ring bearing a raised inscription of FR LEISTUNGEN IN DER H. J. (FOR MERIT IN THE H. J.), the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical
