Both the front and rear visors are secured to the Shako by a narrow horizontal strip of mid-brown lacquered leather which is machine stitched all along the bottom edge
It is dated to December 23
with patina and extremely fine

Constructed of field grey cotton twill, the obverse bearing a machine embroidered grey threaded Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 102 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
