the reverse with a cut-out wreath of a black wound badge attached (soldered) to the wreath of silver badge

stitched in place just inside the opening on the right side at the bottom

Post 1945 Copy. A gilded silver Maltese cross with white enamelled edges, between the arms of the cross are green enamelled rue florets, the obverse centre displays a yellow enamelled medallion bearing a painted portrait of St. Henry, the last Saxon Holy Roman Emperor, circumscribed by a ring of blue enamel bearing the inscription FRIDR.
