He has some original ideas and plenty of shrewd common sense and a nice quiet sense of humour
the obverse depicting a leaping horse with a rider wielding a saber
Eyewitness accounts varied and were rather contradictory but it appeared that the aircraft spun from about 1500 feet and was in the process of recovering when it struck a hillside

In silver gilt with enamels, consisting of a Maltese Cross, the obverse with red enameled arms, with a central medallion bearing a raised Griffin, the reverse with five visible rivets securing the structure together, with a barrel hinge and banjo style vertical pinback meeting a round catch, unmarked, measuring 56. 3 mm (w) x 56. 9 mm (h),
