Constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original sash ribbon with gold bullion wire tassels, the obverse with a central German imperial eagle topped by a State Crown, circumscribed by an inscription of DEUTSCHES REICH 1871 (GERMAN EMPIRE 1871), the reverse with a central coat of arms of the Kingdom of Wrttemberg within an oak leaf wreath, above an inscription of WRTT.
