This species is not widely available in cultivation and is very closely related to Nepenthes spathulata (except that it’s colored deep red)
This highland species comes from the Barisan Range in Sumatra
The upper pitchers have colorful striping on the peristomes and are infundibular shaped
BE-4066 are plants grown from cuttings with the parent plants selected for their outstanding coloration

It prefers wet, humid conditions and enjoys mixes with heavy portion of long fibered spaghnum moss. We grow ours under intermediate and highland temperatures. The beautiful purple flowers are present throughout the year. The plants offered for sale are seed grown from a selfing of our most vigorous clone. This product is considered a Intermediate Tropical plant. Please see
