Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a central oak leaf wreath, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a mobile swastika, above a crossed bayonet and stick grenade, flanked on each side by four rays and oak leaves with two acorns, situated above a magnetic metal backplate, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal banjo style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, designer marked W.
