as the geological events and mineral contents of the surrounding water and sediment

and I do not believe any has been imported since then

but the most accepted theory is that they are coprolites and intestinal casts from Predatory Sea Worms

So far with our cutting, we have been greatly enjoying this stone, as it has some well defined moss with gorgeous coloration. It also appears it will take a nice polish.
