Some varieties are unknown, while others have nearly vanished and are now being revitalised arousing the interest of winemakers from many surrounding areas as well as wine lovers. The first nose reveals light violet aromas that, with airing, transform into subtle fruit aromas of dry prune, morello cherry, blueberry, and black currant jelly.
