Japan, Empire. An Order of the Golden Kite, V Class in Case Auction each signed in black ink( (Kinshi kunsho). Instituted February 12, 1890. In silver with red, purple, yellow, blue, and white enamels, the badge depicting a golden kite above crossed ancient shields with two crossed spears and banners, on original striped green ribbon, measures 46. 2 mm (w) x 49. 6 mm (w), rivets on reverse, in very fine condition. Accompanied by a small boutonniere. Contained in the original hardshell case, black lacquer, purple silk and velvet interior,
