An extremely well preserved, early issue Stahlhelm standard bearers gorget, constructed of a semi circular bronze base finished with a matte silver coating, the obverse bearing an ornate one piece silvered bronze insignia consisting of a central raised Stahlhelm set within an oval oak leaf wreath, flanked on each side by detailed standard flags, topped by a crowned German national eagle clutching a sword
