Constructed of bronzed magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised map of Crimea and southern Ukraine, topped by a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, flanked by dates 1941 1942, affixed with all four reverse attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with a dark grey wool liner and fully intact black paper stock backer, unmarked, the shield measuring 53. 44 mm (w) x 61. 52 mm (h),
