flanked by acanthus leaves on both sides
and the interior is also fully encompassed by a black cotton-blended liner
who fought on the Eastern Front and become prisoners of War during 1915-1917

A Royal Order Of Francis I In Gold, I Class Knight, C.1850 Archive maker marked RZM “M9/37” (CarlAn Early Sicilian Royal Order of Francis I; Knight in Gold In Gold and enamels, of superb quality manufacture, with original period ribbon, 41. 0mm x 47mm, with French (eagles head) hallmark on the cylinder suspension, and makers mark on opposite side (hardly legible), circa 1850, one tiny enamel flake on the right arm, virtually in mint condition and very attractive; Knight without crown is scarcer then Knight with crown.
