Formed in 1980 after the break up of the short lived Teen Idles, Minor Threat which featured singer Ian MacKaye, guitarist Lyle Preslar, bassist Brian Baker, and drummer Jeff Nelson were one of the most important of the new crop of USHC bands, and, simply put, one of the best bands of all time.
