Norway, Republic. A King Haakon VII’s Freedom Cross United Republic of and later with the 16thInstituted May 18 1945. In silver gilt, a Maltese cross with white enamel arms, the obverse medallion features the monogram of King Haakon VII over the letter V for Victory, the reverse is embossed ALT FOR NORGE 7 JUN 1945 (All for Norway June 7 1945), marked J. TOSTRUP and 925S on 6 oclock arm, measures 41. 2 mm (w) x 43. 8 mm (h inclusive of integral ring), worn on original ribbon with pin on reverse, enamels intact, in extremely fine condition.
