A 238Th Infantry Division Memorial Medal For The Battle Of Passchendaele (30.10.1917) Hold White with a strength ofCommemorative medal issued to Major Hartmann in memory of the brave regiment that fought in the Battle of Passchendaele 30. 10. 1917; stamped silver; 38 mm diameter, 3 mm thick; tarnished but overall near very fine condition. Footnote: The 238th Division was formed at Lockstedt Camp near Hamburg at the beginning of January 1917 and was recruited from the 9th and 19th Corps District. After training for almost three months, the division left for France
