Prussia, Kingdom. A Military Merit Medal, C. 1930 Auction oxidation spot on the ribbon(Militr Verdienstkreuz). Instituted 27 February 1864 by King Wilhelm I. (1864 1918 issue; c. 1930 reissue). Constructed of gilded silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with ribbed arms, the obverse bearing a central raised inscription of KRIEGS VERDIENST (WAR MERIT) above laurel branches, the reverse bearing a central raised monogram of King Wilhelm I, unmarked, measuring 39. 22 mm (w) x 43. 30 mm
