A round bronze medal, the obverse depicting the rightward facing bust of Kaiser Franz Joseph, circumscribed by his name and title, the reverse inscribed DER TAPFERKEIT (For Bravery) within a laurel wreath, on a loop for suspension from its period original tri fold ribbon with a single repetition clasp indicating second award, measuring 31. 10 mm in diameter, weighing 15. 6 grams, in overall very fine
