Constructed of a silver alloy, the obverse bearing a central mobile swastika, overlaid by a sword, flanked by a banner overlaid by an inscription of DEUTSCHE WEHR DEUTSCHE EHR (GERMAN DEFENCE GERMAN HONOUR) and shield bearing a German national eagle and bullseye target, the reverse bearing a central depiction of the Kyffhuser Monument, circumscribed by a dedication to a 6th place finisher in the 8th annual
