Germany. An Iron Cross 1939 First Class, 1957 Version certificate_of_authenticity prongs on reverse broken off(Eisernes Kreuz 1939 1. Klasse). A a cross patte of multi piece construction with a blackened iron core (magnetic) within a ribbed border; the obverse with an oak leaf branch consisting of three leaves, dated 1939 in raised numbering on the lower arm; the reverse plain, with a slender vertical pinback, with a barrel hinge, and a flat wire catch; measuring 44. 24 mm (w) x 44. 15 mm (h); weighing 15. 9 grams; in overall very fine condition.
